There is (was?) this IndieWeb initiative to encourage people to
.tweet [post] their personal website plan for the upcoming new year
I already did it two years ago, quite successfully; I am going to do it again, except this time my plan may take three years instead of one.
A two plus three = five-year plan overall, comrade Josif Stalin would be proud! By order of importance:
- ☐ I must review this website’s responsiveness and fluidity, and find a way out of the corner I painted myself into: “Massi’s golden ratio”.
- ☐ I need to update the About and Bio pages.
- ☐ I should review past Blog entries for consistency, and censor old entries that I recently imported in a more stylish way (for example, ████ █████ ████████, like Jamie Zawinski does sometimes).
- ☐ I will restore “Feed” and “Style” to the navbar, not as links to the feed and to the stylesheet, but respectively: as a human-readable Atom feed, with an explainer to what feeds are (see my current Web page); and as live documentation of the style itself.
- ☐ I have never been fully satisfied with the header and with the navbar. At least I should reconsider the non-JS drop-down menu where I hide the list of blog years, because as of today it contains eleven items, and it will grow with time, and…
- ☐ … I want to publish selected posts from Brainblogging (2000–2006) and from Scartari (2007–2009). Both blogs were taken offline shortly after their closure, and are stored as an SQL dump in my laptop along with embedded pictures. I would have to pick those posts that are still somehow relevant. Also I would feel the need to adapt the style of those posts to the style of these pages (in terms of layout and everything else), like I did with Cicely, Scotland and with Moravian Like You.
- ☐ Plus, it would be nice to have a
media="print"stylesheet that would allow me to print Virtualia? like a book.
I will update this post by checking the boxes above as I implement (or not) each idea. I will also document work on my IndieWeb profile.

I Racconti tormentosi di Karel Čapek (traduzione di Wolfango Giusti per Slavia, ripubblicata negli anni Novanta da Sellerio pre-Montalbano) ritraggono la piccola borghesia della První republika. Nel rappresentare i personaggi femminili, Čapek un po’ resta dell’idea che alle isteriche farebbe bene una scopata, un po’ si pone all’avanguardia della società ceca attuale e denuncia le violenze domestiche. Ahimè, le altre pagine non valgono i Racconti di Malá Strana di Jan Neruda o gli scarti degli scarti di Franz Kafka.

Il documentario Prezidentka, girato con il consenso e la collaborazione di Zuzana Čaputová e del suo staff durante i cinque anni in cui è stata a capo della Slovenská republika, è il ritratto di una donna che ha sacrificato la felicità personale per un’idea di società e per spirito di servizio, ed è stata ripagata dai suoi concittadini in egual misura con affetto e odio (un odio coltivato volontariamente da individui come Robert Fico), fino alla sofferta decisione di non ricandidarsi per un secondo mandato.
Donna e madre, come “Giorgia” ma suo diametrale opposto, Zuzana Čaputová rappresenta una Slovacchia che potrebbe essere ma che non è: un fallimento politico che ricorda quello di Jimmy Carter, e mi chiedo se come Carter anche Čaputová avrà una luminosa carriera da “ex”.
